Wait…I have time for this?

This has been my view many times this week as I have quickly fallen back in love with TV. In college, there wasn’t much time for me to lounge around and watch the boob tube. Basically what happened was that I came into college with a set group of TV shows and would just continue to watch those just time shifted.
Well now that I’m working 9-5 (exceptions here and there) I’ve realized that I do have time now to venture out and watch new programs. And I have, I really have. Just check my GetGlue feed.
So here are my initial thoughts on this Fall’s TV lineup this far:
The Voice: I’ve never really watched a full season of this show until now, and I’m instantly hooked. The Blind Auditions have started and every time a person goes on stage and has their story told I get excited for one of the celebrities to #PUSH their buttons. My prediction? I think Adam or Cee Lo is going to win the season as their teams are looking good this go around.
Go On: Ehh, I’m not to crazy about this one. In fact, the only reason I think it will do well is because it’s placed smack dab in the middle of The X Factor and The New Normal. Matthew Perry is of course the star of this recovery group show, irony much? While the show has it’s moments of hilarity and ‘awwww that made me want to cry’ I just don’t know if it will make the first season cut.
The New Normal: Ok, this has got to be my new favorite show thus far. The script is brilliantly written and the characters have great development and chemistry is really clicking with the cast. I am in love with Nana’s witty remarks paired with fabulous life of the two main characters. I think this show is going to stick around for awhile.
The X Factor: Well, the pop princess herself has made her debut on The X Factor this season as a judge and eehhh I’m already over it. Maybe I’m just X Factor material but it seems like this show is just American Idol with a bigger budget and focusing more on the people’s stories. I’m not going to be sticking with this show as it progresses, you can let me know who wins though.
Glee: The show is back for it’s fourth season, and I’ve been a fan from the start. Although there has been a few times I thought about throwing in the towel on this show, I’ve stuck through for the characters. This season is interesting as the cast ventures out into college and new character are added in. One episode in and I like the ‘new direction’ (see what I did there) the show is taking.
Survivor: Ok judge me all you want for this one, but I’ve been watching this show since the second season back in 2001. Now on the 25 season, players that have been injured make a return to the show in a three tribe dual out. After watching the first episode, I wasn’t too crazy about it. But the fun always starts a bit later on in the game.
I’m excited to see ABC premiere it’s shows, and for the rest of the fall lineup!
